Matilda by Roald Dahl is a beloved children’s novel that also delights adults, featuring whimsical storytelling and vivid illustrations. This first‑edition hardcover from Jonathan Cape includes the original dust jacket and full colour artwork throughout.
The book is in good reading condition with a tight binding and no tears, loose or stuck pages. Minor wear is present: some foxing on page edges, a few thumbing marks on five pages, and light stains and marks on the cover and dust‑jacket underside.
As a vintage first edition from 1988, this copy offers collectors a genuine piece of Dahl’s legacy, coming from a smoke‑free home and free of any inscriptions or signatures.
