Payments on this site are processed securely by Stripe. BookClubCity does not store or process your credit or debit card details.

We do not use cookies or local storage for tracking or advertising. Session cookies used by the site are strictly necessary for security (e.g., CSRF protection) and basic functionality.

IP Geolocation

We may use a third-party IP geolocation service such as ipinfo.io to determine a visitor’s country or region. This information helps us understand where our visitors are located and may be used to improve the site experience (for example, displaying region-appropriate information). Your IP address is transmitted to that provider for this purpose only; we do not store your raw IP address.

Anonymous Usage Statistics

We record minimal, privacy-preserving events on our own servers to understand site performance and what helps visitors find books. Specifically we may store:

• Click-through events when you choose “Buy” or similar links (time, target listing, referring page).
• Basic visit metadata such as user-agent and a one-way hashed IP value to reduce duplicate/bot noise.

We filter known bots/crawlers and use this information only in aggregate to improve the site. No profiles are built, and no data is sold or shared for advertising.

Retention
