Fox Tales by Ruth Manning Sanders is a charming 1976 first‑edition novel that blends vintage fantasy with gentle animal stories, making it a delightful addition to any collection of children’s literature or animal‑themed fiction. The book is a hardcover illustrated edition, complete with its original dust jacket, and showcases Sanders’ whimsical storytelling alongside playful artwork.
The illustrations enhance the narrative, offering visual appeal for readers from toddlers to adults, while the sturdy binding and dust jacket protect the pages for continued enjoyment. This title fits comfortably within the Animals & Pets, Bedtime Stories & Nursery Rhymes, and Children & Young Adults genres, appealing to a broad audience that includes ages under 2 up through adult collectors.
The volume arrives with a personal touch—a gift inscription inside the front cover—indicating it was given as a present, which is noted as part of the book’s condition. As a vintage 1970s hardcover, it shows the expected signs of age but remains a well‑preserved piece for anyone seeking a nostalgic, illustrated animal tale.
